General Carbide has been supplying high-quality heading dies to the fastener market for more than 40 years. Quality preforms, or semi-finished nibs, are manufactured to your specifications. We offer grades of carbide ranging in cobalt binder from 3% to 30%. Our stocking program allows us to manufacture parts and hold them on the shelf up to three months to meet your release schedules. We offer 11 grades of carbide with tantalum added for applications where galling may be an issue. Quick delivery is available on our standard grades of 13% – 25% cobalt.
