General Carbide is a supplier of tungsten carbide components used in various applications related to steel processing. Uses include rotary slitter knives, mandrel sleeves, flattening rolls and guide rolls. General Carbide has developed tungsten carbide grades that are application specific to ensure maximum performance. Our GenTuff™ product line offers a unique combination of strength and thermal shock resistance that makes it the premier material for rolling mill applications, where it can out-perform tool steel rollers by factors of 10x–15x.
